After having a rather eventful 2023, Lionel Messi is all set for a jampacked 2024 as the star footballer is expected to feature in major tournaments for both Argentine and David Beckham-owned Inter Miami.

Despite suffering from overload due to constant travelling and frequent matches last year, the calendar year of Messi — who debuted for Inter Miami in July last year, bringing notable fame and glory to both the club and Major League Soccer (MLS) — is already filled with notable fixtures for both the national side and for the US-based club.

For Argentina, Messi will feature in Copa America 2024 and the Olympic Games 2024 — with millions of staunch supporters hoping to see the star footballer replicate his 2022 World Cup success for the national team.

Meanwhile, Inter Miami fans have pinned their hopes on the former Barcelona striker to bring them glory in the US Leagues Cup, MLS, CONCACAF Champions League, Interamericana Cup, and Copa Intercontinental (CONCACAF Champions League winner only), reported as.com.

Messi’s busy schedule comes after he had to take some time off the field last year due to being overwhelmed as a result of constant travelling and an increased number of matches.

However, MLS — in its bid to address this issue — has announced that none of its franchises will feature in the US Open Cup in 2024.

The move is aimed at allowing more “rest time” for the players in the US football calendar.
