MUMBAI: Fino Payments Bank has applied to RBI for a licence to operate as a small finance bank. Fino is one of the six remaining payment banks and the only one to be listed on stock exchanges.
The bank’s board had approved the proposal on July 23 and also a corporate restructuring of the bank. “The notable rise in our account subscription and renewal rate indicates the loyalty of our customers and underscores our status as their preferred bank.This is the cornerstone of our planned ambition of a small finance bank,” the bank’s CEO Rishi Gupta recently told analysts during an interaction.
