Boxing Day is “significant” for David Jones and the entire 
, according to Benjamin Webster, General Manager of Retail Operations at David Jones.
According to Mr. Webster, the post-Christmas clearance sale has been ongoing for “well over a century.”
He said to Sky New Australia that it should “become more of a tradition for the customers and families a post-Christmas day.”
“During the first week of clearance, we anticipate seeing over 2.1 million customers through our doors.”
Additionally, he claims that they anticipate “over a million” internet clients.
